This is the 2009 UKTA Scotland Squad who will compete at the UKTA 4 Nations Championships on 5th December 2009. To be eligible for selection you must attend at least 75% of squad training sessions.

John Reilly (Coach)

John Reilly is a 5th Degree Black Belt and began training in Taekwon-Do in 1989. John achieved his Black Belt at the age of 15, taking 2 years and 9 months to achieve this and he promoted to 5th Degree at the age of 29. John took on the role of UKTA Scotland coach in 2007 and in 2009 was appointed a a member of the ITF Scotland coaching staff.

Dougie Macfarlan

Dougie is a 4th Degree Black Belt and began training in Taekwon-Do in 1986. He began training under Mr Ian Pirrie in Grangemouth and he achieved his black belt in 1990. He is a European Gold medallist (1991 team power) and European Bronze medalist (1991 1st Degree patterns).

Andrew Adam

Andy is a 4th Degree Black Belt under Senior Master Williamson Elgin and began training in 1988. He is European Bronze medallist (2005 team patterns), European silver (2007 team patterns), World bronze (2007 team patterns), European bronze (2008 self defence), European bronze (2009 patterns).

Alan Rafferty

Alan is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and originally a student of Mr George Pllu. He has been training since 2001 and was selected for ITF Scotland Team for 2009 European and World Championships.

Armin GoHsrich

Armin is a 3rd Degree black belt under Mr Stephen Rooney 6th Degree. He began training in 1998 and is a World Bronze medallist (2006 sparring), European Gold (2007 pattern), European Bronze (2007 sparring), Thailand IMGC Games Gold (2008 sparring) and European Silver (2009 patterns)

Ryan Murphy

III Degree

Ryan is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and also a student of Senior Master Williamson, Elgin. He began training in 1998 and was the Scottish Overall Champion in 2008.

Tam McMillan

II Degree

Thomas is 2nd Degree Black Belt. He began training in Taekwon-Do at Wishaw school of Tae Kwon-Do under Mr Alistair Dobie 4th Degree in 1997. He is also a Chang Ung Cup gold medallist and a World Championships Bronze medallist (2007 team patterns) and European silver medallist (2007 team patterns).
